Shadowline sections are furnished in either 1³⁄₈″ or 1¾″ thickness. Selected kiln dried douglas fir or hemlock are used for all stiles and rails. Tempered hardboard is standard, with ¼″ exterior fir plywood optional. Raised panels, plain or carved, are made from ¾″ redwood or cedar and can be supplied in listed designs. Panel stock is all heart redwood. All raised panel sections are Wood-youth treated after manufacturing at the plant.

No other door product on the market measures up to the elegance and natural insulation of wood.

Shadowline top rails are a full 5″, two meeting rails are 3½″, center stiles are 2⁵⁄₈″ and end stiles are 5″. The bottom rail is the backbone of any garage door. The Shadowline has a full 5″ bottom rail thru 16′ doors and a 6¾″ rail for over 16′. Kite uses one long solid wooden rail on the bottom. Other manufacturers fingerjoint the bottom rail, which is not as long-lasting in all climatic conditions. Shadowline Doors are built to last!
